Nicholas Bluff was born in 1993 in Copenhagen, Denmark, into a creatively inclined household where he developed a keen eye for light and color, influenced by his father's work as a painter. His journey into cinematography began through his fascination with parkour, leading him to collaborate on films with friends from a young age. After shooting his first short film, he ignited a passion for the craft and prompting him to delve deeper into the craft of light and technology. After six years of working in the lighting and camera department, Nicholas transitioned into full-time cinematography. In 2019 he relocated to São Paulo, Brazil, where he now resides and works.
Nicholas is also the creator and inventor of the Bluff Bounce, a butterfly rag made to reflect light in a more natural way than traditional butterfly rags. Bluff Bounces has shipped to more than 40 countries and has been well received on Hollywood movies. http://www.bluffbounce.com
